About Katja
Looking to get outside during your Slovenian or Croatian travels? Katja is a licensed guide who can help you plan the perfect balance of urban excitement and natural wonder, on any budget.
Originally from Bled, she’s spent the last 10 years working as an active travel guide, including 7 years with renowned luxury tour operator Backroads. She’s run luxury multi-sport trips throughout all of the Balkans and as far afield as Spain, the Netherlands, and a couple of stints in Argentine Patagonia.
A frequent traveler close to home and abroad, Katja knows the region from both a local and tourist perspective. With a flexible travel attitude, she’s stayed in every type of accommodation and eaten everywhere from the smallest hole-in-the-walls to the region’s most respected Michelin starred restaurants.
